Aquarius is the last of the air signs. It embodies the strength of character it takes to follow the beat of our own drum, state our truth and stand by our convictions. Aquarius does not fear being different, it embraces it. Aquarius relies on the power of its formidable mind and sees out-side the box. With its bold and definitive qualities this watch embodies the power of rebellion, and the strength it takes to walk out own path.
Aquarius January 20 - February 18:
This could be an interesting full moon for you as Mercury the messenger is conjunct the sun, and I would say that this moon is speaking to your clan. Pay close attention to what intimate partners, friends, associates are saying to you. You just had a powerful New Moon in your sign and those of you born in the first few days of Aquarius (Jan 22-24) are starting new cycle this year. Look for clues from this full moon about how your intentions are being received from the universe. Neptune is entering your second house of finances and resources and you may have a shift in consciousness about what money and property means to you. This transit could turn even the most miserly into philanthropists. You may be wondering what good it is to own things for your own selfish gain, how could you turn your equity into prosperity for all? On the other hand all of the creative inspirations of the past 13 years could be about to come into time and space, possibly making you cash and coin. Whatever it is you are bringing into form it seems to want to be of a creative, inspirational or deeply spiritual orientation. The new Moon on February 21st is the time to put some seeds in the ground if there are projects brewing. Given the fact that mars is retrograde until April and we will have another Mercury retrograde in March it’s not the easiest time to get something off the ground, but this new Moon has a lot of help and could set you up for the future quite nicely.
Pisces February 19 - March 20:
Parthenogenesis is the practice of self-seeding, perhaps one of the least talked about subjects in everyday life. We are forever being forced into a heteronormative mold and so seldom do we know that it’s necessary to withdraw from others in order to purify ourselves and to re-commit to realizing our creative potential. Vesta brings us these lessons, and opportunities. She is a virgin goddess, meaning that she belongs unto Herself. Using her female creative energy to regenerate Herself, she teaches us to do the same in order to gain a greater psychic awareness. She has been in your sign since December and will remain there until March lending you these inclinations to retreat and focus on your own spiritual growth. On February 7th we have a full moon in Leo in your solar 4th house of home and family. On that full moon Vesta will be in your first house of self and in opposition to Mars in your 7th house of relationships. This begs the question; how do you keep yourself in tact while dealing with your desire nature in relationships? This month Neptune, your ruling planet is having its homecoming by returning to your sign. Chances are you are moving into a whole new realm of yourself and of life. This is a time when you can feel more at home, more at ease and more excepting of what life has to offer you. The new moon will be a magnification of this energy and I can’t stress enough how powerful this moon is for you. Neptune will be at 0 degrees 41 min and the new moon (read sun and moon at the same degree, that’s what a new moon is) will be at 2 degrees 45 min. the creative force of your imagination is about to be put to good use, if you so choose. Please, please, please spend some time considering what it is you are self seeding. Pallas Athene (another virgin goddess) is a little over one degree away from the new moon, therefore part of what I want you to consider is how can you use your psychic abilities, your creativity and your intelligence to bring about the life that you want. This configuration is a powerful seeding of the peaceful warrior and will give you the courage to go after what you want.
Aries March 21 - April 19:
Mars is your ruling planet and this month and until April 13th the big news for you is that it’s retrograde. This is a very important time to revaluate, re-think, re-do, reorganize and renew your direction in life. We can’t rewire our instincts but we can become deeply aware of them. Each sign in the zodiac tells a part of our human story. Each sign is a key to our evolution; we must appreciate and integrate all of them to be any one of them. Aries gives us our survival instinct, without it we would most likely curl up in the fetal position and whimper in the corner until the days end. Aries lets us know that we must get up one more time; Aries lets us know that our lives are worth the effort. Therefore when your ruling planet goes inward we all have an opportunity to get a better look at how those instincts work. What sets you off? What lights the fuse to the grenade that sets you in motion? What sexual impulses are up for inspection? How is your precious creative/sexual energy being directed in this one short and precious life? The interesting part of this process is that your ruling planet is in the sign Virgo. Virgo is not the most direct of energies; it’s actually the least. Virgo teaches us that we must learn how to adjust to others in order to be in relationship with them. Aries and Mars charge ahead, Virgo and the sixth house (where Mars is in your solar chart) feel responsible and guilty for any misstep or blunder made. So how then do we work with this energy of Mars in Virgo? Well, for one thing it can be a wonderful opportunity for your fearless, brave and impulsive sign to take a second look at how it’s affecting the world around it. I know you know what you want, and how to get it, but what is the cost to those around you? At the same time I don’t want to induce any more self-scrutiny that may already be in your diet as of late. The force of Mars turned inward in the most critical of signs is to be taken with a great amount of love. Fortunately, Neptune is traveling back into Pisces; it’s home sign for the next 13 years. This is bound to bring you emotional, spiritual and creative healing. The new moon on the 21st will be a powerful day to set intentions for this. Whatever start on this day in terms of your spiritual practice, has staying power. It doesn’t have to be big or grandiose, just simple, heart-felt and sincere.
Taurus April 20 - May 20:
Jupiter is in each of our signs once every twelve years; he’s in Taurus now and until June 12th. Often we don’t feel the full effect of a planet until it’s moved on. It’s kind of like being a kid and everyone around you tells you how much you have grown but until you see the growth marks on the wall you have no idea of just how tall you’ve become. This is your spiritual, mental and emotional growth spurt. From now until the summer it’s full steam ahead and at times it will feel like you are be made out of elastic. It’s at once exciting and exhausting to be entering all of the many realms you are entering, all at the same time. Mars has gone retrograde in your fifth house causing you to re-evaluate your romantic affairs. Don’t be too hard on anyone you are in relationship with, try instead to gather the information and sit with it. The full moon on the 7th will light up issues around family and the new moon on the 21st will be an opportunity to plant seeds and create opportunities among friends and social circles. What dreams do you hold dear in terms of your community? Are you in the social setting that you desire? Are you fulfilled by the pack that you roam with? If you are this is a great time to dream with them, to cultivate the dreams that will eventually grow into your social reality. Because building is so effortless for you, dream big in terms of what you would like to build. I truly believe that in this day and age true friendships could heal the world. Most of us walk around with no idea that we are loved for nothing more than just being ourselves. You are moving into a time when your friendships become a source of great healing and spiritual nourishment. Share the love.
Gemini May 21 - June 21:
If ever there were a time for great inspiration, creativity and possible confusion in terms of your career and inhabiting your place in the world, this would be it. You may be feeling that at once you have unlimited creative potential and like you have to make sacrifices because of work obligations. This is all due to the fact that Neptune is entering your tenth house this month, and will be there until 2025. This is not to say that you are sacrificing your creativity for work obligations for the next 13 years, but I would caution you to watch for how you are letting yourself be victimized if the aforementioned is ringing true for you. What is being asked of you now is to simply show up and be the mid-wife for what is wanting to pour through you, it’s not a possession but it does require your personality to get out of the way so that the Muse may move through you. The new Moon on the 21st of February is an incredibly powerful time for you to be listening the Her and also to be listening to your dreams and fantasies about what it is you want to bring forth in terms of your career. This new Moon will be right next to Neptune the planet that rules your tenth house, and it will give you exposure in major and long lasting ways. Neptune gives us the ability to identify and empathize with the collective, but more than that it allows us to tap into the needs and creative dreams of the collective unconscious. So I would say to you that even though Mars in your forth house has been kicking up a lot of issues around security and stability making you feel anything but solid and grounded, don’t rest on that feeling. Skillfully rest your attention on what you are creating, not what is being uprooted. You are not what you have lost; you are what you are becoming.
Cancer June 22 - July 22:
You are being asked to see the forest and the trees, the laws of nature and the often ridiculous, man-made laws of this world. I would urge you to search within your mind to understand how it is that you have incorporated either or both. Truth is a vast array of one paradox after another. Are you able at this time to allow yourself to sink deeper into the paradox of your thoughts, reality and consciousness? You are in a process of deeply investigating the way you use your mind. What are the thought patterns that lay the foundation of each action? Are you able to be aware of thoughts of anger? What is getting kicked up in your communications? How do you use your sexuality in your communications? What patterns do you notice in your thinking process in regards to relationships? The full moon on the 7th is sure to kick up feelings of self worth and opportunities to address your own needs, but more than anything it will be shining the light on how far you have come in regards to how you value yourself and what you have to offer. The new moon on the 21st sets a pattern for the year to come, so it’s very important to use this energy both wisely, but also creatively. This new moon will take place in your 9th house and your chart suggests that you will be able to harness some very creative energies. Whatever it is that you start here (school, music projects, teaching projects) has the kind of cosmic power behind it to be long lasting and will serve you well for years to come.
Leo July 23 - August 22:
This month there is a full moon in your sign. When this happens it tends to light up whatever part of yourself you are neglecting, generally because relationships can take precedence. My general advice is to let full moons come and go without reacting much, if that’s at all possible. One of the reasons is because we are in the midst of the apex of the lunar cycle, and as we all know, the full moons have a definite effect on our emotions. Full moons are also reflective of the seeds we planted at the time of the new moon (this last one was in your 7th house of relationships on January 22nd) I am hoping with Mars’ recent movements in your second house that you are rethinking and re-evaluating what it is that you offer and bring to the table, in short I hope you are coming closer to a solid sense of self-worth that has nothing to do with the applause of the outer world. This is a fascinating full moon as it has much to do with relationships for everyone, but you especially. Pay close attention to feed back you are receiving from those closest to you (this includes people you may describe as your nemesis, anyone you have intense relationships with). It’s as though this full moon is a portal for you to receive important information about how you need to adjust in your intimate relationships. This information is hard pressed to break through to you in general, but this moon is a gateway. The new moon on the 21st will capitalize on whatever gains you made with the full moon and you will have a clean slate to begin a new project with another. This could be romantic or in business, whatever it is that you want to bring in and cultivate with another. If there is no one present, don’t worry this is a dreamy new moon and imagining you are doing something is as good as doing it.
Virgo August 23 - September 22:
This astrology is a rare opportunity for you and your tribe. It’s as if your normal actions are halted and all you are left with is yourself. You are not the kind of sign that sugar coats the facts but now more than ever there is no buffer between you and your relentlessly critical mind. What this astrology is leaving you with is a painstaking look at all of your habits. Please take this advice to heart now; (and always, but take a double does for the next 5 or so months) be as kind to your self as you would be to your dog, cat, child, best friend or favorite plant. This is not the time to tear yourself to shreds; you actually can do permanent damage here. Instead have your spiritual practice be something like a “Be Nice To (your name here) Day”. I know it may sound woo-woo, but this is probably the most daunting task I could give you right now, so tackle it like you would a disorganized file cabinet. The full moon on February 7th will bring an opportunity to rehash some neglected relationship material, possibly in business, but could be romantic as well. There’s a lot brewing in your 7th house of relationships as Neptune, the planet that rules your solar 7th house comes home into it’s natural sign, Pisces. What I propose for you is a wide array of soul-mate interactions in the coming years, and the next new moon on February 21st is going to kick it off. Spend some time considering what relationship seeds you are planting, and what kind of relationships you want to call in for the next year.
Libra September 23 - October 23:
With all of the psychic activity being stirred up with you lately you are bound to be a little unsettled right now, that or you have been able to cover a lot of psychological ground, which needs time to integrate. I would say that all of that should be balanced now with work, health regiments and daily routines. The new moon on the 21st is a powerful portal for you to set intentions in these areas. What I would suggest here is a merging of the two. Take what information you have received lately by means of your dreams, therapy, meditations and imagination and let it inform what it is you are needing in terms of sustenance on a daily level. Early this month Saturn will go retrograde one more time in your sign. This is an end to the personal, spiritual and emotional overhaul that you have been in for the last two years. This period is a period of testing whom you are as an individual in relation to what goes on around you. Try not to get caught up in the outer appearance of it all; it’s not really that important what is happening; it's important that you realize whom it is happening to. You have had to let go of a lot during this transit but by the fall you will start to see why it was necessary, until then trust in the process of this self-realization period.
Scorpio October 24 - November 21:
February 7th is a full moon with many messages from the deep for you. It seems that there is a tale here for you to consider from long ago. What stories are arising from your childhood that is being echoed in your workplace or public life? There is also something in your full moon chart that speaks about learning a very deep and profound lesson about personal responsibility in your romantic relationships or your relationship to your own create self-expression. You are experiencing a reorientation of attitude about them. The more responsibility you take for your part in romantic or creative issues, the more you can learn to forgive yourself and (and possibly your significant others) and move on. What lessons are integrated at the full moon will serve this month’s new moon well. The new moon on the 21st is giving you a jump-start in your creative life, and possibly romantic life. At the same time you seem to be going through a reconsideration of where you stand in the social scenes you are involved in, how you fit in and in what areas you no longer feel comfortable. Try not to be too critical of those around you; you are under the influence of wanting to tear everyone to shreds. Sometimes knowing that we are simply annoyed with everyone is enough to talk ourselves out of moving to the monastery.
Sagittarius November 22 - December 21:
With Mars retrograde in Virgo in your tenth house and Neptune moving into Pisces in your fourth house on February 3rd, it seems that you are being asked to strike a balance between work life and home life. There is a new energy arriving in your home, or a shift to how you are living. Make sure to keep some space available here for spiritual practice that grounds you, and possibly creative projects that inspire you. In terms of your work life be careful not to criticize or worry too much about what you have no control over, that including those you work with. Instead take note of what isn’t working for you; you’ll need the information later. You are at the tail end of a long career cycle meaning that you are now seeing the fruits of your labors, or the consequences of your mistakes…or both. You are sitting with either immense social recognition in your public life, or the understanding of what you have missed in terms of bringing your work into the public sphere. If there has been success there still may be a growing anxiety about where it will all lead. Again, do not worry, now is not the time to know. If you can, enjoy the fruits of your labor, this is a rare moment and it will pay off to absorb its meaning. The full Moon on February 7th will have you re-evaluating all the aforementioned issues and needing a possible break. The new moon on February 21st offers you some very supportive energy in your home life and your family, please except it. You may have a healing interaction with a parent or family member and if not this is a perfect time to cultivate one.
Capricorn December 22 - January 19:
With Mars retrograde in Virgo in your ninth house you are in an intense time of mental scrutiny, challenging your own thought systems and beliefs; what does it all mean and where is your place in the grand scheme of things? At the same time you are going through a transit of Neptune into your third house and it’s important for you to give yourself creative freedom and license to dream, fantasies and create. There is a practice in The Course in Miracles where you give your mind to the Divine mind, and I would suggest that that is what is being asked of you now. This is easier to do when we are in nature, so I would advise you start a new habit of sitting by a body of water and letting your mind wander. The new moon on February 21st is coming to help you spark some of this creative inspiration, write down your ideas, hopes, dreams and visions for the future on this day as a way of telling your unconscious and life itself that you are ready to help to bring these visions into reality. Saturn the planet associated with your sign goes retrograde this month a few hours before the new moon. Whatever happens to Saturn affects you greatly. This is the last retrograde that Saturn will have in Libra and it just so happens to be going retrograde at the 29th degree, so this is big stuff and it all has to do with the public/career domain of your life. Saturn is gearing up to leave your tenth house in October, but before he moves onto your social status and standing in community there is some lesson to be learned from your recent career successes or setbacks. What is important now is your attitude in regards to your professional life; can you consolidate from your wins and learn from your losses?
